Raegan Lauinger of Goodrich and Jorden Sowash from Owosso have been selected by the Athletic Directors of the Flint Metro League to represent the Stars Division as the athletes of the month for November.
Raegan is a four sport athlete at Goodrich lettering for the Martians in Cross country, basketball, track and soccer. In cross country, she has been a 3 time state qualifier and 3 time 1st Team All Conference runner. On the track, Raegan has been a three event state qualifier and a 5 time league champion. A three year team captain for the basketball team, Raegan was a member of the state qualifying team and a 2nd team all league member. In soccer, Raegan was named to the All District team. Also excelling in the classroom with a 3.92 GPA Raegan has been named All State Academic in cross country, basketball and soccer. Raegan plans to continue her academic and athletic career at the collegiate level where she plans to major in accounting.
Jorden Sowash is also a stand-out cross country and track athlete for Owosso. Jorden earned 1st Team All Conference honors 3 times and was a 3 time state qualifier in cross country. On the track, Jorden was a two time State Qualifier. He was a conference champion in the 3200 meters as a sophomore and and a two time 3rd team All Conference runner in the 1600 meters. Jorden has twice been named as Academic All State in cross country and has maintained a 4.234 GPA in the classroom. He hopes to continue his career at the collegiate level and will major in either biology or psychology.
