Congratulations to Fenton’s Renee Hand who was selected by Metro coaches as the Coach of the Year. Fenton received 3 votes from league opponents for exhibiting the best sportsmanship throughout the season followed by Clio with two votes and Brandon, Corunna, Flushing and Owosso with one vote apiece.
The Raiders followed up their league championship with a second place effort at the MHSAA Division 2 tournament qualifying the team to move on to the state tennis finals. The D2 championship will be held in the Holland area on Oct. 15-16.
