For each varsity sport, a school receives one point for each team it finishes ahead of in the final standings, with the league champion receiving a bonus point. Flushing won league championships in girls' golf, girls' cross country and volleyball this fall, and placed second in boys' tennis and football. The Raiders have 49.5 all-sports points going into the winter season, followed by Fenton with 47.5, Brandon and Holly with 36 each, Linden with 35, Clio with 26, Swartz Creek with 22.5, and Kearsley with 14.5.
There are eight winter sports and seven spring sports yet to compete for in the 2014-15 league sports year, and last winter six different schools won league titles, so expect a lot of movement in the all-sports competition between now and June.
