Grace Hoffman, a standout golfer all four years for Kearsley, is a leader both on the golf course and in the classroom with a 4.04 GPA. Named three times to the Golf All-Metro First Team, Grace earned medalist honors 14 times in Metro dual competitions. Selected as the MVP for the Hornets as a Jr. and Sr., Grace led Kearsley to strong finishes in the league and the County while placing 3rd and 4th individually in the County tourney. Grace capped off her HS golfing career as an individual qualifier for the State Finals this year. In the Fall, Grace will attend Kettering University with a major in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science.
Fenton's Josh Czarnota has been the unanimous choice all First Team All-Metro quarterback since his sophomore year, breaking almost every passing school record for the Tigers. The two-time captain received All-State Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore and junior and this year was named as AP Division 1&2 Second Team All-State. The Flint Journal named Czarnota as the Dream Team Player of the Year in 2017. Josh plans to continue his football career at the next level and currently has offers from Grand Valley and Lawrence Tech. Josh was also selected as the Flint Kiwanis Athlete of the Month and is now in the running for the Flint Kiwanis Athlete of the Year.
