The defending state champion girls' team from Kearsley won the Division 2 regional by 644 pins. The Hornets were led by freshman Imari Blond who was the Regional Individual champion in a narrow 6 pin margin over Kearsley teammate and runner up Alexis Roof. Also qualifying from Kearsley were Barbara Hawes, Emma Boychuk and Karlee Griffin. Other individual Metro qualifiers were Jenna Royal from Holly, Jessica Andrus from Brandon and Iyana Blanks-Prater from Flushing.
The Flushing Raiders (D1) and Kearsley Hornets (D2) each brought home Regional Championship trophies in the boys division and will advance to the state final team competition. Kearsley's Bryce McKerchie was an individual Regional Champion in convincing fashion with a 260 pin advantage over his nearest opponent. He will be joined in individual competition by teammates Jake Reid and Aaron Linn, Jeremiah Turner and Levi Beadlescomb from Brandon, Brenden Burger from Clio, Logan Rigdon and Max Musphy from Swartz Creek and Chase Fleming and Chase Fleming and Nick Warren from Flushing.
