Linden showed up ready to play finishing in the top three spots individually. Emma Lurvey was the tournament medalist posting an 84 with teammates Ella LaMothe (85) and Cate Draper (87) closely behind. Olivia Rushton (88) from Goodrich and Leah LaFleur (88) from Brandon rounded out the top 5 individual scores. Linden posted a team total of 348 to win the tournament and the Metro League championship. This is the 8th league title for the Eagles. Goodrich shot 354 to finish the tourney and the league in 2nd while Fenton posted a 376 to take 3rd in both the tourney and the league.

Swartz Creek HS received three sportsmanship votes by opponents, Flushing and Corunna each received two votes, and Clio, Linden, Brandon, Owosso and Fenton each received one vote.
Following league play, teams entered MHSAA Regional competition in a quest for the state finals. Linden finished in 3rd place (364) in D2 at Groesbeck Golf Club in Lansing to advance to the state tournament. Swartz Creek shot a 409 total to also finish 3rd at Saginaw Valley Public Golf Course. Both teams will compete in the Division 2 State Finals at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek on Oct. 15-16. Individual qualifiers from the Metro include Sara Ritchie from Kearsley, Anya Ng of Flushing, Leah LaFleur from Brandon, Olivia Schmieder from Clio and Emily Madill from Goodrich.
