Garrett VanGilder of Holly is a rare 4 sport athlete lettering in football, tennis, baseball and wrestling. Garrett has earned 4 varsity letters in tennis helping the Bronchos to two Regional championships. He earned First Team All Metro honors in 3 seasons and once as 2nd Team All Metro. Garrett was the kicker for the football team as a junior and senior and also lettered his senior year in wrestling. In baseball, he has been a 4 year player and named Metro League Honorable Mention as a sophomore and junior. Also excelling in the classroom, Garrett has a 4.0 gpa and was named to the Academic All-State baseball team as a junior. The scholar athlete plans to continue his baseball and academic careers at a major university where he will major in electrical and computer engineering.
Erin Carter has been a stellar three sport athlete for Fenton in softball, volleyball and basketball. In volleyball, she was a two year starter and helped the Tigers to a Regional final appearance as a senior and a quarter-finalist as a junior. In basketball, Erin was named as an Outstanding Student Athlete, earned 2nd Team All District and helped Fenton to a Metro title as a senior. A four year member of the softball team, Erin was named captain as a junior and senior. In her junior season, she was the Tri-County Player of the Year, All-District, All Regional and HM All State. This scholar athlete maintains a 3.839 gpa and will continue her playing career at the University of Iowa where she has earned a softball scholarship and will major in psychology in pursuit of a degree in social work.
