'Fenton High School started its boys' golf season by winning the Pre-Season Flint Metro League Jamboree by 27 strokes over the rest of the field. The league's overall golf standings are determined by combining the pre-season tournament results with dual match records and the final league tournament results. In addition, the two league tournaments are used to determine the all-league team.
Fenton's Patrick Conroy and Tait Shaltz each shot a 80 over the 18-hole Fenton Farms course to share medalist honors. Fenton’s Dylan Conte, Holly’s Luke Harrington and Brandon’s Brett Hobson rounded out the top five by carding 82’s.
Dual matches for the Metro League will begin next week and the final Metro tournament will be held on May 22 back at Fenton Farms.
