Lillie a two time All Stater has been a four year standout swimmer for the Tigers. She has played a key role in helping Fenton to four consecutive Metro League Championships during her HS tenure. A school record holder in both the 200 Medley and 400 Free relays, Lillie has earned 1st Team All Metro honors in each event for the past three seasons. She also earned 1st Team Metro individually in the 100 free and 50 free for the past two seasons. Lillie has been a state qualifier 9 times and a MITCA qualifier 12 times since her sophomore year. In the classroom, Lillie has maintained a 3.65 GPA. She will attend Cedarville University in the fall majoring in Environmental Science with minors in Missions and Bible.
Tyler has been a multiple All-Stater in both cross country and track for Linden. In cross country, Tyler has been All-State for three straight seasons and finished 6th overall in this year's MHSAA State Finals. He was also the individual Metro Champion and Regional Champion for the past three seasons. As a junior, Tyler was named the Tri-County Male Athlete of the Year and was recently announced as this year's Tri-County CC runner of the year. On the track, Tyler has been a versatile champion earning All State honors in the 3200M as a freshman and sophomore, 3200M relay as a sophomore and the 1600M as a junior. He has been a two time 1st team All Metro champion in both the 3200 and 1600 as well as a Regional champion in the 3200M, 3200 relay, 1600M and 800M. A 3.0 GPA student, Tyler will continue his cross-country and academic career at Wayne State University where he will major in Computer Science.
The Flint Metro League is proud to announce that both Lillie and Tyler have also been selected as the Flint Kiwanis Female and Male Athletes of the Year. Both of these exceptional scholar-athletes will now be in the running for the Greater Flint Kiwanis Athlete of the Year.
