was The Flint Metro League announces Katelyn Siebert from Lake Fenton and Colton Blaha from Owosso as the Stars Division Athletes of the Month.
Katelyn is a 4 year varsity basketball letter winner and three time captain for the Blue Devils. She earned Honorable Mention honors in the GEC as a freshman and sophomore and was First Team as a junior. Katelyn recently scored her 1,000 point and led her team to the District final game to be played Friday night. She has twice been named the State Bank Athlete of the Week. Katelyn has maintained a 3.81 GPA and will continue her basketball and academic career at Cornerstone University in the fall.
Colton Blaha is a two sport standout for Owosso, lettering in both football and wrestling, and has also lettered in basketball and track. With over 50 career wins, he has twice been crowned the league champion in the Metro. A three time state qualifier, Colton earned All State honors as both a freshman and junior. This season, he was the League, District and Regional champion at #160 and will challenge for a state title this weekend. Colton was also named as First Team linebacker for the Trojans and holds the school record for solo tackles on the gridiron. Maintaining a 3.26 GPA, Colton will continue his wrestling career at the collegiate level where he aspires to be an All American wrestler.
