The Kearsley girls defeated Tecumseh in the title match to again be crowned the Class B State Team Champions. The Hornet victory made them state champions for the 5th consecutive year and 6th time in the last 7 years....incredible! Owosso's boys and girls teams qualified for the team portion of the finals as did the boys teams from Flushing and Kearsley.
Kearsley's Imari Blond was the individual state runner-up in Division 2 bowling the day after helping the Hornets to the team championship. Teammate Barbara Hawes made the state semirfinals by defeating teammate Alexis Roof in the qualifying round. Owosso's Laken Williamson also made the individual qualifying round.
Two of the seven league boys bowling finalists made it to the afternoon tournament for the individual championship. In Division 1, Flushing's Nick DuCharme was eliminated in the quarterfinal round. In Division 2, Brandon's Jeremiah Turner also made the qualifying round.
