Highlighted by Wednesday's Pre-Season Jamboree for boys' golf teams, the season begins in earnest this week for six out of the seven official Flint Metro League spring sports. One-third of the final overall standings in boys' golf will be determined at the Pre-Season Jamboree where all eight boys' teams will tee off at Fenton Farms Golf Club. The 18 holes played will also count for half of the determination of this year's all-league team.
Girls' tennis begins its league season with the opening dual matches played on Tuesday and Thursday, while the league's track teams begin four straight Wednesdays of competition, with each team scheduled for three double-duals and one dual meet. Baseball and softball doubleheaders start on Thursday. The seven-game girls' soccer season begins on Monday, April 27.
